Description
LSZ (Lysergic acid 2,4-dimethylazetetetidide, λ, Lambda) is a designer psychedelic drug of the lysergamide class. LSZ was first synthesized in 2000 by David E. Nicholson at Purdue University as a safe replacement for LSD, with less toxicity and fewer side effects. The structure of LSZ is similar to LSD, with a slight difference, where the amine functional group and contains a bicyclic hexahydroindole coupled to a bicyclic quinoline group, this drug has a 6-methyl group replaced on carbon and the (S,S)-(+) isomer is more active than LSD.
The effects of LSZ are stronger and more pronounced than those of LSD, can cause distortion of reality, hallucinations, this drug is a 5-HT2A receptor agonist.
LSZ is a designer drug and its pharmacological and toxicological properties are not yet fully understood. This drug is not legal in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, and Latvia.
