Rac N-Desmethyl Tramadol-d3 Hydrochloride (or abbreviated Rac-d3) is an opioid analgesic, an N-desmethyl derivative of tramadol, which acts on opioid receptors. Structurally, Rac-d3 is a derivative of tramadol, where the racemic mixture of tramadol is converted into an N-desmethyl derivative by reaction of the mixture with sodium methoxide in methanol, and after labeling with deuterium, after the purification process takes place.
Rodent tests have shown that Rac-d3 is more effective than tramadol and has a much stronger and longer effect.
There is a danger of abuse of this drug, as it binds to opioid receptors in the brain and can cause analgesia, sedation, can act as an antidepressant, and cause euphoria characteristic of opioid drugs. At high dosages, it can cause respiratory depression, vomiting.
This drug is intended for scientific and research purposes, tests, to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of new opioid analgesics and to develop new drugs.
