2-Methyl-AP-237 is an opioid drug, a methyl analogue of bucinnazine, also known as AP-237 (used as an opioid analgesic in China to treat cancer patients). This drug has excellent analgesic properties. According to the in vitro studies, 2-Methyl-AP-237 affects the mu-opioid receptors and has a potency approximately equal to morphine. This drug can cause opioid dependence if used regularly. It has also been found that this drug can cause respiratory depression in high doses.
2-Methyl-AP-237 is a relatively new drug and has not been fully studied, so there is little data on its toxicological and pharmacological properties.
